Tournaments & Leagues
-
USPA
Rules & Regulations govern all tournaments and leagues,
unless otherwise noted. All players are responsible for reading and
understanding the USPA Rules and 302 Policies.
-
USPA Umpires
will be used for all USPA tournaments.
-
302 forms a
tournament committee for the spring and for the fall seasons.
The 302 Polo Manager assembles the committee which consists of an
odd number of volunteer team captains, professional players, and/or
individuals not participating in the tournaments. The purpose of this committee is
to ensure a high quality of polo & sportsmanship during the
tournaments. The rulings of the tournament
committee are final on all matters.
-
All teams must use the 302
Tournament Entry Form in order to submit a team entry. The
form must be filled out completely and signed by the Team Captain. All team entries for any league or
tournament must be submitted in writing or via email at least 10
days prior to the draw and all teams will be subject to the approval
of the tournament committee. In the event that a team entry is not
acceptable the polo manager will advise the team sponsor of the
tournament committee’s decision at least seven days prior to the
draw of why the entry is not acceptable. The sponsor will then have
three days to submit a new team entry for approval.
-
Entry forms must be complete and entry
fees paid in full prior to the draw. Teams will not be permitted to
participate in the draw or play in the tournament or league if all
fees are not paid in full.
-
The draw & tournament
format shall be decided by the 302 Polo
Manager and the tournament committee.
-
The final decision of canceling a
scheduled game or game in progress, due to weather, shall be
determined by the game officials, team captains, and/or
tournament committee.
-
A team that withdraws from an event
after the draw shall forfeit all fees and be subject to additional
fines and/or restricted eligibility in future events.
Team withdrawal shall result in a loss of every game by one goal for
the withdrawing team.
-
Teams must play all of their league and
tournament games regardless of their win/loss records so as not to
unduly influence the rankings of remaining teams in the same
tournament. Any team that withdraws without the approval of the
Tournament Committee will be subject to fines
and/or restricted eligibility in future events.
-
Schedules & tournament standings will be
distributed to all players and be available on the website in a
